BELONG TO YOU BLOG TOUR BOOK BLAST & HAPPY RELEASE DAY!!!

I was born and raised in New York. I've been told I have a New York accent, on more than one occasion. It is pronounced cawfee, not coffee, right? But of course, being a true New Yawka, I believe everyone else has the accent.

I am one of six children, and come from a family of "steps, halves, ours, theirs and his" children. Even though the oldest of the six is only 48, we have given my incredible mom 17 grandchildren. I have three children, two girls and a boy. My son is the oldest and is a godsend. The girls, well, they are tweens and make me drink too much wine on occasion.

I am an attorney by day, and a romance author by night! I published my first book in 2013, First Thing I See and was thrilled at the overwhelming success! My next book, Belong to You, is due out April 4, 2013, and I have the hots for the man on the cover. ]

I consider myself a romance author, but my books definitely have steam in them, so I guess I am technically a romance-erotica author. I am also a HUGE reader and love Sylvia Day, Kristen Ashely, and EL James.

My other loves are boating, jetskiing, parking my ass at the beach and traveling. My dream vacation is a backpack, passport and an open ticket to anywhere we can explore! I don't cook, pretty much because I am terrible at it, and I have no desire to improve.

Thank you for taking the time to read about me, and I hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I like writing them!

Lady Amber Tours Presents The Promise by Kim Carmichael

Title: The Promis
Author: Kim Carmichael
Genre: Erotica
Publisher: Hot Ink Press

Tour Host: Lady Amber's Tours

Synopsis:

Demon Dolan Ciar exists on three simple words: desire, denial, and destruction. Every four years, he is allowed one night of earthly passion to punish a deserving female. By the time he is finished, his victims are left as willing receptacles for demons yet to come.

Since she was four, a demon has been the only constant in Leora Desmond's life. He taught her how to seize control, to never give up, and to take whatever she wanted. At twenty-four, her self-centered existence is focused on one thing. She wants Dolan, and she won't be dissuaded.

A mistake brought Dolan to Leora. A promise bound him to her. Returning once again to ask for his freedom, he is faced with Leora demanding to be his next conquest. The ultimate retribution would be to take from her the ultimate symbol of her selfishness.

Now, Dolan must decide if he can doom her to life in living hell or face his own set of unearthly consequences, while Leora must choose between her pleasure and her heart.

The Promise blurs the line between good and evil, desire and love, and promises and commitment.

My Review

5 of 5 Promises

The Promise is a great story! Lord at times I felt like I was going to cry my eyes out. I felt so bad for Leora. She is such a selfish person that she does not even see she has a problem. When she is four years old she is in trouble and Dolan who is a demon saves her and makes a promise he did not mean to make to her. But there is something about Leora that makes Dolan feel human. See Dolan lives by the motto desire, denial, and destruction. He lives free and wild and every four years he is allowed to come up to earth and take a women to bed. He loves it because he can have wild unabashed sex and leave the women for the next demon. No strings no odd waking up conversation. But when he saves Leora he has opened up a can of worms that he is not sure how to handle.

Leora is determined to have Dolan in every way. She wants him in her bed and she will stop at nothing to get what she wants. Dolan has asked her several times to release him from his promise but Leora being selfish is determined to get her man in the sack and have him every which way. A mistake brought them together and a promise bounded them but what will happen in the end? Will Dolan sacrifice it all? Or will Leora finally release Dolan?

Excerpt:
He tilted his head. "You look older."

She forced herself to blink and to remember her goal. "Then I assume I am at last old enough to be a fit for a demon." She stepped forward, stopping less than a foot away from him. The back of her throat dried out, and she swallowed.

He put his hand to his chin, his gaze taking her in. "This old song and dance. When will you use the brains you have and leave it alone?"

His words hit her, but rather than retreating, she moved closer. The energy, the tingle, the wafts of spice encompassed her and lured her toward him. "Never."

"You were smart last time. Why don't you release me so I can do what I came here for." He glanced down at her and then shifted his focus beyond her. "I have needs as well."

"Tonight I am the one you came here for." The mention of his last visit stung, but she willed herself to keep going. She ran her fingers up the buttons of his shirt. "You always told me to take control."

He shook his head. "A lesson you learned well."

She reached up and clenched his collar in her fist. "I let you go last time, but tonight I am the one you need."

He grabbed her wrist. "I spared you before. Never forget that."

She stared right into his eyes. No weakness was allowed tonight. "It's me, Dolan. Me, or you can be celibate until the decade I do you the favor of dying. I don't care about your pain." She tensed, preparing herself for his retaliation.

"I thought I taught you better than to make demands of a demon." He pressed his palm to the side of her face.

Heat radiated through her body, sending a warning to every one of her nerve endings. "A demon who comforts a child is a failure of a demon in my book."

His jaw tightened. "That was a mistake. An oversight."

Teaser From Tangled By Emma Chase

Drew Evans is a winner. Handsome and arrogant, he makes multimillion dollar business deals and seduces New York’s most beautiful women with just a smile. He has loyal friends and an indulgent family. So why has he been shuttered in his apartment for seven days, miserable and depressed?

He’ll tell you he has the flu.

But we all know that’s not really true.

Katherine Brooks is brilliant, beautiful and ambitious. She refuses to let anything - or anyone - derail her path to success. When Kate is hired as the new associate at Drew’s father’s investment banking firm, every aspect of the dashing playboy’s life is thrown into a tailspin. The professional competition she brings is unnerving, his attraction to her is distracting, his failure to entice her into his bed is exasperating.

Then, just when Drew is on the cusp of having everything he wants, his overblown confidence threatens to ruin it all. Will he be able untangle his feelings of lust and tenderness, frustration and fulfillment? Will he rise to the most important challenge of his life?

Can Drew Evans win at love?

Tangled is not your mother’s romance novel. It is an outrageous, passionate, witty narrative about a man who knows a lot about women…just not as much as he thinks he knows. As he tells his story, Drew learns the one thing he never wanted in life, is the only thing he can’t live without.

Okay so I don't know about you but I am dying for this book and when Emma asked me to post a teaser I dam near died! First the cover screams READ ME and second the blurb had me at Drew seduces New York's Women with a smile! So without further ado here is a teaser from Andrew.

Teaser: "Andrew"

Sexy (just a little)

She doesn’t answer. She just raises her arms around my neck, bringing us together—chest to chest, stomach to stomach, thigh to thigh.

It’s agony. Exquisite, delicious agony.

With a mind of its own, my thumb draws slow circles on her lower back. The music swirls around us, and I feel buzzed—not from the drinks, but from the feel of her. I want to ignore the perfect way her body fits against mine. I try to remember my noble intentions.

I’m not doing this for me. Really. I’m not doing this because being this near to her is the closest to heaven that I’ll ever get.

This is for her. Part of the plan. To win back the scumbag who doesn’t deserve her.

I’m a lucky guy.

No—that’s not quite right. I actually don’t believe in luck.

Luck is for losers, who need a mysterious and unseen force to blame when shit doesn’t go their way. I don’t hope or wait for good things to happen to me—I make them happen. I put myself in the right place at exactly the right time.

So, what I really mean is…I’m a fortunate guy. Like the song says, life’s been good to me so far.
I’m grateful for what I have, and I enjoy what I’ve earned. And I think it’s important to give something back. Every superstar does. Some build inner-city youth centers, others start summer camps or provide scholarships. They have their pet projects, I have mine.

Which would be all of you.

See, there’s a lot I know about…well…everything. Sex, business, how guys think, why women don’t make sense, life, sex, love, the best way to raise children, relationships. Did I mention sex?

True, my first-person familiarity with the relationship category is a little thin—but in case you haven’t heard, I’m an observant guy. Which means even if I haven’t experienced it myself, I’ve seen the drama of relationships play out around me enough to know what makes them work and what fucking kills them.

And because I have such a vast array of knowledge, I feel it’s my moral and patriotic duty to pass that on to all of you. To aid the little people, help the less fortunate. No offense.

But—keep in mind—I’m probably not going to be nice about it. It’s just not my style.

If you want someone to hold your hand and tell you you’re a perfect little snowflake and all your problems are everyone else’s fault, just keep on clicking that mouse. I don’t sugarcoat or gloss over; the only time I kiss an ass is during foreplay. I tell the straight-up, how it is, you may frigging hate me afterwards, but you’ll be better off in spite of yourself—truth. No apologies, no goddamn regrets.

And don’t expect any wink-winks or stupid fucking smiley faces either. Do I look like a teenage girl to you?

So, here’s how it works: You write in, down there in the comment section. Cry me your rivers, ask me your questions—and I will give you answers. Don’t be shy. I’m certainly not.

We’re all friends here.

Okay, that’s not exactly true. But this is the Internet—it’s anonymous. You’ll never actually frigging meet anyone who’s reading this in real life. So feel free to ask even your most embarrassing questions, expose your deepest fears or worst experiences.

I won’t make fun of you for it. Scout’s honor.

But seriously, you should take advantage of this opportunity. If you’re a woman—this is your chance to finally figure out what men are thinking and why we act like we do. If you’re a guy—this is your opportunity to learn from a man who’s never struck out and who always leaves them smiling.

So don’t be a fucking moron. Ask me. Use me. I’m at your service.

Ladies—feel free to interpret that last sentence any way you like.

Book Description:
A love triangle just wouldn't suffice; Jillian Stone had the 'misfortune' of getting herself into a love square-- with twins, nonetheless.

Alexander, Oliver, and Jillian were raised on a deserted island. For 12 years, all they knew were those that were marooned with them. A strong bond would link them forever. At 12 years old, they are all rescued and clairvoyant Jillian is immediately shipped off to boarding school. Ten years later, she is reunited with her twins at the funeral of Helen, the woman who “mothered” them while on the island. The innocent and childhood feelings they shared on the island...well, they aren’t so innocent anymore. Her scrawny gangly twins are now grown men. Oliver, the ever-loyal friend and Alexander the ultimate bad-boy, have her heart in a tug-a-war.

Enter, mysteriously sexy Professor Paul Black. He’s Jillian’s law school professor and she has caught his attention, albeit inappropriate. All the while, Jillian’s clairvoyance is wreaking havoc on her life as visions of a redheaded man are becoming all consuming. The dangerous man in her visions is searching for her and has a big secret to share with her about her time on the island as well as about her psychic abilities. Scared for her life, all three men try to protect her, but she must chose one in order to focus on the problem at hand—the redheaded man’s secret.

Seeing Red is a romance with some paranormal elements and some suspense and a lot of sexual tension.

My Review

5 of 5 Alexander and Oliver

Seeing Red is one of the craziest and greatest books I have ever read. Does that make sense no but I will tell you this Sidney Halston is one BRILLIANT writer that has crafted this story that leaves you wanting no needing more from it. I started the book at noon time and ended at 7:00 pm that night because I had to see what was going to happen.

Jillian Stone has suffered some things in her short life. From being stranded on an island as a child to being stalked and having strange dreams about a man wanting her. Jillian has a non-existent love life until the twins she grew up come back into the picture. Plus she has her professor who is pursuing her. Lord what is a girl supposed to do? Jillian is also psychic and she is soon having these weird visions and the twins Alexander and Oliver are there for her to protect her. They will not let anyone harm her.

As Jillian is trying to figure out who to be with she will learn things about herself she never realized. Plus lets face it twins Alexander the bad boy and Oliver the good boy well who should she choose and who will she choose? This story had so many twists and turns I was like OMG did that just happen then I would turn the page and be like how in the heck did that happen. You get so caught up in the reading that you cannot put it down. I need more and I hope there is more to come because Jillian and the sexy twins have so much more to say!

About the Author:
Sidney Halston lives her life with one simple rule: “The secret of getting ahead is getting started.”–Mark Twain. Or even simpler, “Just Do It”—Nike.

And that’s exactly what she did. After working hard as an attorney, Sidney picked up a pen for the first time at thirty years old to begin her dream of writing. Having never written anything other than very exciting legal briefs, she found an outlet for her imaginative romantic side and wrote Seeing Red.That first pen stroke sealed the deal, and she fell in love with writing.

Sidney lives in South Florida with her husband and children. She loves her family above all else, and reading follows a close second. When she’s not writing you can find her reading and reading and reading. She’s a reader first and a writer second.

When she’s not writing or reading, her life is complete and utter chaos, trying to balance family life with work and writing (and reading). But she wouldn’t have it any other way.

Release Day Blitz for The Prelude by KaSonndra Leigh

Title: The Prelude
Author: KaSonndra Leigh
Release Day: April 1st, 2013
Genre: New Adult

Blitz Host: Lady Amber's Tours

Synopsis:

A New Adult Contemporary Romance

After finishing design school six months ago, Erin Angelo left her tragic past behind in the States and started a new life in Milan, Italy. Burying the grief, silencing her demons, and living a life without any real attachments has worked well for her so far. But when Erin secures her first real job as a budding clothing designer, her controlled world is shaken to its core by the mysteriously sexy director of the local symphony.

Alek Dostov is a man who knows what he wants and how to get it. He’s successful, hot, the son of a millionaire, and women all over the world flock to see one of his performances. For Alek, Erin represents the ultimate challenge: sexy, smart, and unaffected by his charms…or so she thinks. Just like Erin, Alek avoids attachments that leave him emotionally vulnerable. But unlike Erin, his pursuit of all things pleasurable is ruthless.

Knowing how wary they both are concerning any kind of committed relationship, Alek finds a way to pursue Erin, satisfying the intense attraction between them without sacrificing the freedom they both enjoy. Sometimes the deepest passion brings out the darkest emotions. And Erin finds herself completely unprepared for the forbidden world of the young maestro and his truths and even his secrets, as she struggles to deal with her own.

Music, passion, betrayal and forbidden love spun together in one of the most romantic cities in the world.

This novel contains sexual situations and mature language. It is intended for an audience at 17+ years of age.

Erin Gets Her Happy Dance On…

I’m walking in a daze.

I think I’m going to pass out. Whoa! What just happened out there? The most gorgeous, successful, beautifully arrogant man ever just kissed my hand. My best friend, Selene is going to hate me for being so lucky. I can’t wait to tell her.

“Alright, chill out, Cinderella.” I walk through my door and let all the pretense, aka Miss Control USA, go flying out the window. I hop right up in the middle of my living room floor and start doing my hot damn dance.

So, yeah, Alek’s statement about the prelude freaked me out for a second. The word reminded me of something Jada used to say. His line was just the tiniest bit corny, too. But I meant what I said when I told him I thought his words were cute. He can say anything with that accent and get away with it.

I glance at my watch. 10p.m. It’s too early to call Selene. She works as a bartender in Florence. Sometimes her nights don’t end until around 2am.

I sniff the contract Alek gave me. His scent still lingers on the paper, reminding me of the day I first experienced the scent of his cologne. That was the day I fell on my butt, and he offered me his jacket to cover my body. He’s a true gentleman. Well, maybe a little.

So what if the gesture came after I had bolted for the door because he was looking me up and down at first. I feel myself forgiving his neglect to inform me of his true identity. He’s yet to explain himself. I consider agreeing to meet him for dinner just so he can tell me why he led me to believe he was an assistant.

I shower and throw on my Betty Boop sleeping shirt, a pair of booties, and then try to bring my racing thoughts back under control. Heading to my bedroom, I lie down on the bed and pull out a romance novel Selene let me borrow.

She thinks I’m destined to become either a nun or a homicidal maniac. Her reasoning being that no normal person goes without sex as long as I have done. Selene’s boyfriend and my old design lab partner from school, Christopher, even chimed in to help drill the thought into me one day when the two of them visited. I study the book in my hands.

This just doesn’t seem right. Erin Angelo is pulling out a romance novel and actually considering reading it. Now I know something’s wrong with me.

Alek’s POV
Erin Meets the Ex

“So, your mother was born in Dallas? That means you’re all mixed up, like me. Interesting,” Erin says and shakes her head as though she’s in deep thought.

She takes a bite of her focaccia, a type of yeast roll covered in garlic. Since we’re still well into the aperitivo, Milan’s happy hour, this is about all we’re going to be served for the time being. “It all makes sense now. I was wondering why Adriana doesn’t have a Russian sounding name. And how you got those…nevermind.”

“Don’t do that stopping mid-sentence thing. It drives me insane, yes. Finish. What do I have?” I lean over on the table, so I’m closer to her face. A rush of pink spreads through her cheeks. She blushes so easily. I enjoy watching it happen.

She shrugs and stabs at her food until I’m ready to snatch the plate away and eat the bread myself. I place my hand over hers. “Erin, you were going to tell me something, yes?” Our gazes meet, and she stares deep into my eyes.

“Your eyes. They’re not blue like a lot of Russians. That’s all. You don’t need me to be telling you things you’ve heard all your life, I’m sure.” She glances down at her plate and then over at my hand massaging the skin on top of hers.

“Look at me, Erin.”

“No. I mean, I’d rather not.”

“Why?”

“Because it’s—”

“What have we here? The two of you look cozy,” a familiar female’s voice says, ripping through our bonding moment. Nadya. I sit back and give her a hard look. She’s wearing fur in July, the same thing Mother likes to do. And she looks ridiculous.

“Nadya. You look warm today,” I say, smiling.

“I am. These Milan nights can get a little chilly. Especially when a girl sits at home alone more often than not,” she replies.

“I’m sure a woman of your means can easily find male companionship,” I say with a smirking grin. She turns to Erin.

“Hi there. I’m Nadya, Alek’s ex-girlfriend.” She holds out her hand for Erin to shake.

“I’m Erin. And I’m not the new girlfriend.” Shaking her hand, Erin passes a quick glance in my direction.

“Erin Angelo, the student designer who wooed and won the hearts of all three Martuccio brothers? I’m in awe. Tell me, what kind of sexual favors did you do in order to convince them to take you in and spend all that money for you?”

“Nadya. This isn’t the time or place for that shit,” I warn.

“Oh, Alek, this is girl talk. Obviously, Erin has what it takes to survive in the fashion capital of the world. I simply want pointers on how she managed to snag yet another successful man so very quickly. Has he taken you to the waterfall yet?” Nadya gushes, her voice dripping with sarcasm. I stand up and face her.

“I’m warning you, Nadya,” I repeat.

“No, Alek, it’s okay, really. I don’t mind helping Nadya out,” Erin says, a devious gleam in her gorgeous eyes. Easing back down to my seat, I get the feeling that Nadya is in for a surprise.

“First, I signed up for design school. This meant I actually had to use intelligence over sex,” Erin begins, using the sweetest voice I’ve ever heard on a female. “And then, my instructors noticed I had a sharp eye for identifying trends. You know what I mean, right? Real. Raw. Talent. Now, this doesn’t include shopping sprees and matching up the designer labels in all my outfits. I’m one of the people who actually sat down and created the design for that acrylic, also known as, fake fur vest you’re wearing.”

Erin beams a smile at Nadya and then glances at me just before she says, “Men can’t help but to notice someone who does this kind of thing. Right, Alek?”

“Damn right. I couldn’t help it, anyway,” I add, feeling more turned on by Erin than I’ll ever care to admit. She removes her shawl and exposes the way her dress dips low enough to show off her generous cleavage. I lower my head so neither one of them will catch me laughing.

“In fact, Alek told me that my ambitious nature outside of the bedroom turns him on so much that he can’t wait to get back and make mad, passionate love to me tonight,” Erin says with a smile. I almost choke on my saliva.

“Obviously. Have a nice dinner,” Nadya says in a flat voice and walks off toward a man standing near the bar.

“I cannot believe I just said those shitty things to her,” Erin says, shaking her head and gasping.

“She opened the door wide,” I answer.

“Can we have a subject-change moment, please?” she asks and moves on without questioning me about the waterfall statement Nadya made. I appreciate that she doesn’t question or judge me. Not yet.
