The Boss and Her Billionaire by Michele de Winton Blog Tour Stop

He threw her inhibitions overboard.

Cruise director Michaela Western has everything she wants—everything except a sex life. But there are no secrets on cruise ships. She risked her job once for a dalliance with the Captain, and won’t do it again for a few minutes of toe-curling pleasure. Until a devilishly handsome new staffer with a body made for sin tempts her to walk on the wild side...

Investment billionaire Dylan Johns always gets what he wants. He is used to giving orders—not taking them—until he’s forced to go on hiatus from his investment company. To bide his time and carry out an old dream, he takes a job on a cruise ship—and ends up taking orders from his gorgeous, but uptight, new boss. He is determined to loosen her up with a fun onboard romance, but their no-strings fling turns serious and Dylan is forced to confess his lies.

When the affair threatens to shatter Michaela’s own career dreams, she finds herself caught between the devil and the deep blue sea.

MY REVIEW

5 OF 5 BILLIONAIRES

Lord Entangled has done it again! The Boss and Her Billionaire is a fast and fun read. I have to say that Entangled has put out some great reads and every time I pick one up I am not disappointed!

In TBAHB we meet Michaela is career driven and focused. She has set out to prove to the all male dominant group that women can run a company and be successful. They don't need a man in their life to dictate policy because they can run the show. Michaela certainly achieves that and more. Michaela does not allow anyone or anything to distract her from getting her goals. That is until she meets Dylan.

Dylan is a guy used to getting his own way. What he wants and where he wants it is the name of the game. That is until he meets Michaela and she sets him on a roller coaster ride. Dylan wants Michaela and he wants her bad but will his lies and secrets destroy what they are trying to build. What is Dylan to do when the truth comes out as to who he really is and what is he going to do at the end of his three months?

Come along for a great story of true love at it finest. At the end of the day love will always win out!

 INTERVIEW WITH MICHELE

Michele Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to visit Kaidans Seduction. I am so grateful to have you here. Your book The Boss and Her Billionaire is one of those romance reads where you cannot put it down. You just start reading and the pages turn fast and furious because you have to get to the end without peeking. That’s how it was for me when I was reading it. I waited until all the kids went to bed and I started reading and read till 3am in the morning. Entangled Publishing is coming out with all these fantastic authors and you are so lucky to be a part of that team.

Thanks so much for having me and I’m thrilled you enjoyed the book! Sorry to cause you a sleepless night ;-) Yes, Entangled Publishing are just going from strength to strength so I feel very lucky to be working with them. There’s a great team behind the scenes and they really seem to be able to pick their debut authors, I’ve read some fantastic titles in this year. I get a real kick out of being a writer and it’s so exciting having my first romance out in the world. It’s a treat to chat with you all about the journey.

What inspired you to start writing Romance novels?

I’ve always read romance but hadn’t thought of writing it till I’d been away as a guest writer on a cruise ship (I know, bliss). It just felt like the perfect setting for a romance novel. The characters all appeared ready to be written and I had a background in dance so felt I could do the storyline some real justice. I was also away from home on a fellowship so had time and space to try out something new. I enjoyed it so much I was hooked and I’ve been totally thrilled by the reception these characters have received.

I like to ‘cast’ my characters early on so I have a solid picture of them in my mind and casting these two heroes is probably what made the book so compelling to write. I think Maggie Gyllenhall would play Michaela, with a blond wig. She’s definitely got enough sass to pull it off, and can play strong and sultry as well as soft and hopeful. And for Dylan, I’d cast Channing Tatum (although he’d have to wear green contact lenses). He’s got a great bod, some real smarts and he really can dance. I wrote this before I saw Magic Mike, but that movie definitely confirmed it – he’s one to sweep ladies of their feet – literally.

Do you have a favorite place to write?

I used to love to write in bed. I’d wake up and write on my laptop until I was too hungry and had to get up and have breakfast. I could last till about one pm if I was on a roll. But that just doesn’t work now that I write full time and it certainly doesn’t work with a new baby. I now have an office where I write each day, but my time in there is limited to when my wee man is asleep.

Do you listen to music while you’re writing?

At the moment I have strains of the Fleet Foxes to write to because it’s the music my little boy likes to sleep to and I only get to write when he’s sleeping! The whole album is on repeat and has to get through two doors to get to me – so it sort of just drifts off into the background of my consciousness. Until he wakes up! I’m not really one for having music on when I’m writing as anything with too strong a beat or that I want to sing along to gets me too distracted.

Are you an e-reader or book girl?

I’m both. I got an i-pad for Christmas and have been loving loading it up with all the great romance out there. It’s also fantastic to not have quite so many books filling up my house – my office is already lined with bookcases and the rest of the house is running out of room to accommodate extra books. But there are some books I like to go back and reread and those I like to have in paperback. I have to admit as well that I’m a page folder where there is a passage I love, but I hate to read books that others have folded – so I have to get my own copy.

Can you tell us about your up and coming paranormal release?

It’s a 20,000 word novella, coming out in September and is titled A Talon at her Throat. It follows Goddess born Yasmin Freeman as she struggles to be ordinary in a world where special powers are looked upon with suspicion. Torn between hiding her Goddess lineage from pure humans and needing her powers, Yasmin Freeman has always just wanted to fit in with her human co-workers. But when an assignment leads her to Gray, a Talon shape-shifter who is able to absorb the deadly features of any bird of prey, the true nature of her abilities is revealed. Fiercely protective of his people, Gray is honor bound to dispose of intruders, but Yasmin provokes a lustful hunger in him, something that drives him to disregard his kind’s strict avoidance of other peoples.

Gray’s seductive touch might just break Yasmin, as it triggers an ancient bonding process she is powerless to stop. Their bond should hold them together, but Yasmin must face Gray in battle if she is ever to bring her plea for co-operation to the Talon elders. And without the co-operation of their peoples, Human, Goddess and Talon could die…

Do you plan on writing more Romance Novels?

Absolutely. I’ve just finished the first draft of a new one and have finished the synopsis for something set in the Pacific again. I’m not as fast as many of the established romance writers out there, not only because of my other writing commitments, but because of having a wee man in my life now. But the romance world has been so welcoming I’m loving every minute of being a part of it and I can’t wait to get another book out in the world!

What is your favorite Genre to read?

I have written contemporary romance and paranormal because they’re what I love to read. In contemporary category romance I enjoy characters that are like me and my friends; in situations that feel true but that are perhaps aspirational, or just slightly shinier than ordinary life. In paranormal romance I like fully formed world’s where all the characters ‘fit’. Nalini Singh is expert at this (and a fellow New Zealander!)

Michele thank you again for stopping by Kaidans Seduction and allowing us a glimpse into your private writing world. I look forward to reading more from you. Happy Writing and Happy Reading!
