Thought I Knew You by Kate Moretti Blog Tour Stop

Claire Barnes is shattered when her husband, Greg, goes on a business trip and never returns.

Unwilling to just wait for the police to find him, Claire conducts her own investigation. Her best friend Drew helps her look for answers, but all she finds are troubling questions.

With every clue, she discovers that Greg may not be the man she thought she married.

While battling her growing feelings for Drew and raising her two young children, Claire must learn to live with the knowledge that the truth behind Greg’s disappearance may never be revealed.

Thought I knew You is a gripping story that has the reader thinking about a lot of things. I have to say that I would not even know what to do with myself if this ever happened to me. Losing your husband is one thing but to discover he had another life is a totally different thing.

Claire thought she had the best marriage and the best husband. That all changed the day he went on a business trip and never came back. As if his disappearance is not hard on her and the family Claire finds out that her husband Greg is not who she thought he was. With the help of her best friend Drew Claire will start an investigation of her own.

What Claire and Drew find is not what she ever expected. As she and Drew uncover the lies and the secrets Claire and Drew get closer to one another. Will they be able to remain friends or will Claire allow Drew to be more than just friends? Come along for a heart wrenching story that has secrets and lies. Come along and see how true love is supposed to be. No lies or secrets just open and honest truths and raw emotions that are love. Get your box of tissues out and enjoy the ride!

Playlist or songs that inspired Kate Moretti to write The Knew You

I didn't have a playlist that I was inspired by necessarily. I wrote most of Thought I Knew You to the soundtrack of Sesame Street and Barney. What I did instead was come up with a playlist inspired by the plot and characters in the book:

January Rain - David Gray (

Say Goodbye - Dave Matthews Band (

In Between the Raindrops - Lifehouse (
I Will Wait For You - Mumford and Sons (

Feeling the Same Way - Norah jones (

This Year’s Love - David Gray (
I'm a thirty-something science nerd with a penchant for hobby hopping. My most recent hobby includes writing a novel that I'm hoping to release Summer 2012. I'm married with two kids, love to read, and I've recently discovered I can actually write.
