He’s a grump. A grouch. A huge prick with an even bigger...ego.
He’s also been my crush and the subject of just about every fantasy I’ve had for the last ten freaking years.
Oh, and now he’s my boss.
Think you’re having a bad day? How about accidentally flashing your, well, everything to your gorgeous a-hole of a new boss after spilling coffee all over him, on your very first day of work?
Yeah, check mate.
Plenty of finance guys in New York like to call themselves the “wolf”. But only Barrett King commands the title of “Demon King of Wall Street”. Arrogant, demanding, and the kind of hot that makes girls forget how to talk.
Years ago, the Grump King himself was my older brother’s best friend from the wrong side of the tracks. But that was before my wealthy family set Barrett up to take the fall for a crime he didn’t commit.
Now, he’s one of the richest, most powerful, and most gorgeous men in New York. He’s also my new boss, and believe me, he hasn’t for one second forgotten what my family did to him.
Barrett doesn’t just want me working under him. He wants me working, well, under him. There are rules, of course. I have lines I won’t cross. But those lines are blurring by the second, and the rules are starting to crumble.
Now, New York’s most eligible arrogant bachelor—the man with everything—wants something he can’t have: me.
The only problem is, I’m running out of excuses for why he can’t.
My Review
๐๐๐๐๐
I freaking loved this book. I mean I laughed so hard and then I was angry at some points in this book. Barrett is the boss from hell. They call him bosshole because he can be down right mean and nasty to his employees. Then he has hired a new analyst for his business but he does not remember her. She is the half sister of the bastard that ruined his life.
After having an encounter with her he wants her no matter what. But Delphine ain't having none of that and she tries to stay far away from him but she can't. His charm is disarming and his foul mouth turns her on. They start to play a game and only Delphine thinks she is winning but she isn't and when shizz hits the fan and the truth comes out who will be left standing.
A reader first and foremost, Jagger Cole cut his romance writing teeth penning various fan-fiction stories years ago. After deciding to hang up his writing boots, Jagger worked in advertising pretending to be Don Draper. It worked enough to convince a woman way out of his league to marry him, though, which is a total win.
Now, Dad to two little princesses and King to a Queen, Jagger is thrilled to be back at the keyboard.
When not writing or reading romance books, he can be found woodworking, enjoying good whiskey, and grilling outside--rain or shine.
