The Winemaker's Dinner: Appetizers (The Winemaker's Dinner #1) by Ivan Rusilko & Everly Drummond Blog Tour Stop

Recently named executive chef at one of Miami Beach’s hottest restaurants, Jaden Thorne is determined to make her culinary mark and fulfill her professional dreams. When Jaden is given highly coveted tickets to the ultra-exclusive Winemaker’s Dinner, she jumps at the opportunity to meet South Florida's wealthiest and most influential food and wine enthusiasts.

Jaden’s eyes are drawn to the VIP section even before the appetizers appear, but she soon finds herself thinking less about networking and more about the intriguingly sexy stranger eying her from across the room. After dinner, what begins as a light-hearted flirtation unexpectedly catapults into a night of explosive passion. But when morning dawns, Jaden leaves her sleeping Mr. Oh So Sexy behind, sure they’ll never see each other again.

Dr. Ivan Rusilko, a handsome, young physician, boasts an extensive resume’ and a well-established position on Miami Beach’s social scene. But despite his success and glamour, he’s routinely had to suffer uninspiring dates and doomed relationships. With a romantic heart, Ivan’s not the love-‘em-and-leave-‘em type. But when he awakens to find that the girl in the red dress has done exactly that, he resolves to find her--only if it’s just to ask why she left without even a kiss goodbye.

The Winemaker’s Dinner is a fictionalized erotic memoir inspired by the romantic triumphs and tragedies of Dr. Ivan Rusilko’s real life. Weaving fact with fantasy, authors Everly Drummond and Dr. Ivan Rusilko have gifted readers with a swoon-worthy flesh and blood romantic hero and the intoxicating bouquet only a heartfelt tale of passionate love can create.

MY REVIEW

5 OF 5 WINEMAKER'S DINNERS

Where to start with The Winemaker's Dinner. Yes this is supposed to be an Erotica Memoir but it was so much more. I have to say that the fact that the guy in the story is a real live person through me for a little loop but by God it worked! I have never read something so loving and inspiring that had me on the edge of my seat that when the ending came I was so looking for more. I needed more because the story flowed so smoothly that when the conflict as we know every great romance has snuck up on me and I was like HOLY BABY JESUS!

Jaden is an accomplished Chef and she is given a chance to go to the Winemaker's Dinner with Florida's wealthiest and most influential food and wine enthusiast. While there she can't keep her eyes off this attractive guy across the room.As time goes on they come together and start talking about food and wine and how much they enjoy it. Jaden is enthralled with this man and he is enthralled with her. They spend the night together and in the morning Jaden leaves.

When the man wakes up he realizes that Jaden is gone and searches for her. We soon come to learn that the man Dr Ivan Rusilko will stop at nothing to have her. He wants to find out who she is and where she went. When he does find her they start a whirlwind relationship. As in every relationship you have issues and struggles and at first these are so subtle you don't see them coming but in the end decisions have to be made and maybe just matbe the passion may not be able to hold it together. What will happen between Ivan and Jaden? Will they be able to stay together? Will the relationship be doomed right from the start? Come along a great ride where food, wine and love mix and in the end which one will be standing!

Interview With Everly Drummond

Q: What was the most difficult part about writing this book for you?
A: Having to pry into a stranger’s personal life. Ivan is so easy to work with and such a good sport. I’m very lucky to be able to work with such an amazing man.

Q: What was the most fun or interesting?
A: Hmm…. Getting to ask all the questions that most girls would dare ask him and getting to hear his answers, honest and uncut.

Q: What did you learn about each other while working on TWD?
A: That I’ve never met a more honest and down to earth guy than Ivan (besides my dad, of course). Ivan really is one of the good guys that most girls dream of.

Q: You both say you are very shy, yet here you are front and center as the creators of an erotic romance novel, based on some very personal experiences of one of you. How in the world can two shy people pull THIS off?
A: I think that as far as writing TWD, Ivan and I balance each other very well. We work well together and being able to be so open with one another certainly helps.

Q: Favorite scene in the book? (Without spoilers of course)
A: Two words… turtle watching!

Q: This book has a very sweet romance at its heart. Ivan comes across as the whole package romantically. Many women who read romance have commented that real men aren’t like this in real life, but this is based on his real life minus Ms. Jaden. Do you think men in general don’t have a sense of romance?
A: You know women want it or they wouldn’t be reading and swooning over romance books like TWD. Reading about a real life romance hero changes things a bit.
I used to believe that they didn’t exist… and then I met Ivan.
