Praise for The Naturals:

“The Naturals is Criminal Minds for the YA world, and I loved every page.”

Gilmore Girls and Pretty Little Liars go Southern in LITTLE WHITE LIES (On Sale 11/6/18) by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, a comedic mystery about a girl raised by a down-on-her-luck single mom who allows her wealthy grandmother to bribe her into becoming a proper Southern debutante—all in the hopes of finding out who her father is. This book is filled with interpersonal twists and turns and aha moments that have made binge reading a thing. Sawyer grounds this sudsy mystery with her honest approach to relationships and situations, and her very personal mission.

“I’m not saying this is Sawyer’s fault,” the prim and proper one said delicately. “But.”

Eighteen-year-old auto mechanic Sawyer Taft did not expect her estranged grandmother to show up at her apartment door and offer her a six-figure contract to participate in debutante season. And she definitely never imagined she would accept. But when she realizes that immersing herself in her grandmother’s “society” might mean discovering the answer to the biggest mystery of her life—her father’s identity—she signs on the dotted line and braces herself for a year of makeovers, big dresses, bigger egos, and a whole lot of bless your heart.

The one thing she doesn’t expect to find is friendship, but as she’s drawn into a group of debutantes with scandalous, dangerous secrets of their own, Sawyer quickly discovers that her family isn’t the only mainstay of high society with skeletons in their closet. There are people in her grandmother’s glittering world who are not what they appear, and no one wants Sawyer poking her nose into the past. As she navigates the twisted relationships between her new friends and their powerful parents, Sawyer’s search for the truth about her own origins is just the beginning.

Set in the world of debutante balls, grand estates, and rolling green hills, LITTLE WHITE LIES combines a charming setting, a classic fish-out-of-water story, and layered mystery with suspenseful whodunit writing.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Jennifer brings it again and again with this book! I love her other books but this one had so much in it. I mean secrets, lies, scandals, and big time skeletons in the closet that no one wants to come out but everything done in the dark comes to the light.

We get to meet Sawyer who is raised by her mother who is a flake to say the least. She had Sawyer when she was 17 and her family disowned her because they came from wealth and the family didn't want a scandal on their hands. So Sawyer grows up in a normal life doing everything for herself and taking care of herself by being a mechanic. Then one day her grandmother seeks her out and tells her she will pay her to be a part of the Debutantes Season.

At first Sawyer is skeptical but she sees the chance to find out who her father is because her mother refuses to tell her. As she delves into the world of money, scandal, and lies Sawyer soon finds out that people will do anything to keep the skeletons in their closets. No one wants her meddling with the past because things will come out that people tried to hide so well.

Will Sawyer be able to find out the truth of who her father is? Or will they do anything to keep the secrets in the closet? This is a must read and I need book two like ASAP!
