Pro-snowboarder, Reef Reid, is at the peak of his career. He has it all. Except the one thing he desperately wants: a lover, the white picket fence and his happily ever after. Disillusioned and exhausted, he flees to a tropical paradise to defrost.
But a ticketing mishap lands him in the ski village of Queenstown, New Zealand.

Whiteout is book one in Ann Grech’s international hit male/male romance series, Unexpected. Books 2 and 3 continue Reef and Ford’s story through the highs and lows of the pro-snowboarding circuit. You’ll fall in love, want to slap a certain someone or two and swoon over these two men who are made for each other.

❄❄❄❄❄
First I have to say that I read the blurb and thought okay two guys one straight and one bisexual find each other and fall in love or lust whichever. So I was like could happen because I know someone who that has happened to and he is happily with his partner. So I said okay I want to read this. So I am going to be honest here and say that the first half of the book had me like whoop whoop rooting for these two to give it a go and give each other a chance to be together.

Then there was some things that happened that had me like oh HELL NO! But I kept reading and I am so glad I did because this is truly a story about two guys that have feelings for one another and don't know how to navigate through this new thing that is happening to them.

Reef is a pro-snowboarder who is in need of a vacation from things. He goes to take one but ends up somewhere else and he goes with the flow and enjoys his new vacation spot. It is there that he meets Ford. Ford is a mountain rescuer and loves his job. When he meets his favorite snowboarder Reef. They strike up a conversation and decide to take a trip up the mountain where things change fast for them because of a whiteout coming in and trapping them together for a few days. It is in those few days that they find out they have feelings for one another, But the thing is do they act upon it or do they just remain friends?

Bisexual sports star, Reef Reid, is back in action on the slopes with his new boyfriend, paramedic, Ford Wallace by his side. Taking the next step in their relationship was supposed to be easy, but fate has other plans. Will they be able to hold out against the forces trying to tear them apart?
Paramedic and mountain rescuer, Stratford ‘Ford’ Wallace, fell hard and fast for pro-snowboarder, Reef Reid. For a ‘straight’ guy, falling in love with a dude was unexpected, but his attraction to Reef is undeniable. Neither of them have uttered those three little words yet, but Ford knows Reef feels the same. At least, he thinks he does.
Reef is smashing his pre-season training at Fernie, the idyllic Canadian snow resort, getting wicked air and landing what could be season-winning jumps. What’s even better is that his man is with him. Going home to Ford every night is what Reef always dreamed of—his very own happily ever after.
Knowing they’re ready, they take the next step in their relationship—meeting the parents. But when tragedy strikes on the slopes, can Ford push through the painful memories and be what Reef needs?
Ford will sacrifice himself, literally putting both his heart and his life on the line, to protect his man. But will it all be for nothing when Reef is presented with an offer that’s too good to refuse?
White Noise is book two in Ann Grech’s international hit male/male romance series, Unexpected. It can be read as a standalone, but it’s recommended that you read Whiteout first. Book 3 continues Reef and Ford’s story through the highs and lows of the pro-snowboarding circuit. You’ll fall in love and swoon over these two men who are made for each other.

❄❄❄❄❄
This is the continuation of Reef and Ford's love story and I have to say that after reading this one Ann you brought your A game with this one. After reading Whiteout I was dying to see where Reef and Ford would end up. I wanted to know if these two could weather the storm so to speak. Just like in heterosexual relationships you have your ups and down so I was really interested to see what would happen between these two because being out and gay in a relationship can be hard on each other. Then add in the fact that Reef is a professional snowboarder things get a little tricky.

I just have to say that I absolutely love Reef and Ford together. Reef has his career and his pre-season training is kicking some serious arse and he is rocking it! Plus he has his man by his side to go home to every night and share his day with. Ford is more than happy to be home waiting for his man to come home and shower him with love. For Ford it is all new because he was straight and fell hard for Reef and knew that things were going to be different for him but he is growing and learning each day how to openly love Reef.

They decide to take the next step and meet each others parents and boy oh boy is that one crazy ride for each of them. This was where I wanted to kick some serious arse because Ford's parents are aholes and they don't take things well and do not accept the fact that their son is gay. Haters I say and I wanted to shuttle kick them in the arse because they were such asses about their sons love interest. Reef's parents were great well his mother was great and his father had to come around but he was not an arse like Ford's parents were.

Then as you know life is no bowl of cherries so there are issues that arise and they have to navigate through them but they get through them together. Plus Reef is offered a sweet deal and he will have to decide whether or not he is going to take the deal or turn it down and stand by his man. This is such a rollercoaster of a ride for these two that I can't wait to read the third book to see where these two end up.

Reef and Ford are back, and they’re playing for keeps. For their forever. It’s hard; harder than they ever imagined. But they’re strong. And even though falling for each other was unexpected, they’ll do whatever it takes to be together, including overcoming any obstacles in their path.

Pro snowboarder, Reef Reed, is on the precipice. His chance of winning the world championship is within reach. But he’s navigating a treacherous path, one which is full of incredible highs and soul-crushing lows. Crippling stress, insurmountable distances between him and his boyfriend, jealousy, and illness threaten everything he’s worked for. His relationship with Ford is tested in ways Reef couldn’t have fathomed.
Ford Wallace will do anything within his power to help his man soar high and achieve his dreams. But the season has been hard on both of them; watching all Reef’s hard work unravel from afar is unbearable for the healer at heart. So he fights—they both do—for their happiness and love, and they emerge on the other side stronger than ever before.
Whitewash is book 3 in Ann Grech’s international hit male/male romance trilogy, Unexpected. It can be read as a standalone, but it’s recommended that you’ve read Whiteout and White Noise first. You’ll fall for these two men who are absolutely made for each other.

❄❄❄❄❄
Whitewash is the conclusion to Reef and Ford's story and what a conclusion it is! Ann brought it and wrapped everything up in a perfect way that was realistic and had me cheering Reef and Ford on!

Reef is on top of his career and he has his man in his corner. But this time around it is hard on Reef and Ford because Reef is traveling all over trying to win the championship. His traveling has him stressed the eff out and needing Ford even more. Plus everything that comes with relationships is there for them. There is jealousy and anger because Ford's parents are still being arses about Ford and Reef. But Ford has put them in their place and let them know he is going to be with Reef no matter what they or anyone else says. Ford even goes out of his way to travel to where Reef is to be with him when he can. He supports Reef through this hard time in his career and I loved that about Ford.

What I loved about this ending was that Ford and Reef fought to be together and no matter what or who they stayed together and their love just grew and grew and they had each other to lean on. Ann did a great job on this series and I want more! I want to see the white picket fence and maybe some children.......

K. D. Elendil – 5* “I had to read this in installments because I didn't want it to end.” ~ Whiteout

Louise McKay – 5* “Choosing to read this book for me was a major step out of my comfort zone. I don't read MM books… It's never appealed to me before but the blurb on this book made me want to read it… Reading this has made me realise, you can't generalise genres of books. If you do you may miss out on a hidden gem. That's how I feel about this book.” ~ Whiteout
Carle – 5* “Wow! FanF'ntastic. This book has it all. Bring on book 3!” ~ White Noise
Tina~Bookaliciousbabes – 5* “This was the ultimate end to a great series. Reef and Ford will forever be in my heart… I loved every second of it.” ~ Whitewash

By day Ann Grech lives the corporate world and can be found sitting behind a desk typing away at reports and papers or lecturing to a room full of students. She graduated with a PhD in 2016 and is now an over-qualified nerd. Glasses, briefcase, high heels and a pencil skirt, she’s got the librarian look nailed too. If only they knew! She swears like a sailor, so that’s got to be a hint. The other one was “the look” from her tattoo artist when she told him that she wanted her kids initials “B” and “J” tattooed on her foot. It took a second to register that it might be a bad idea.
She’s never entirely fit in and loves escaping into a book—whether it’s reading or writing one. But she’s found her tribe now and loves her MM book world family. She dislikes cooking, but loves eating, can’t figure out technology, but is addicted to it, and her guilty pleasure is Byron Bay Cookies. Oh and shoes. And lingerie. And maybe handbags too. Well, if we’re being honest, we’d probably have to add her library too given the state of her credit card every month (what can she say, she’s a bookworm at heart)!
