Laurel just wanted to survive college, keep her father fed, and fly under the radar.
Delivering pizzas was supposed to be the safe kind of side hustle, until the night she witnesses a murder at Ashford House, the most elite and secretive fraternity on campus.
Now she’s a prisoner of The Order, a blood-bound society that controls everything from politics to police. They rule with ritual, obedience, and violence, and they’ve decided Laurel doesn’t get to leave.
At the center of it all is Carrson Ashford, heir to the powerful Ashford legacy.
Cold. Commanding. Infuriatingly magnetic.
Under the rules of The Order, he “bonds” her, marking Laurel as his.
Body. Mind. Soul.
But Laurel isn’t here to be claimed. Not without a fight.
To save her father and her future, Laurel must navigate a twisted realm of initiation rites, brutal secrets, and a bond that may destroy them both.
In this world, there’s one rule: obey or die.
But love doesn’t follow rules. And neither does Laurel.
★ Dark academia meets Southern Gothic in this emotionally intense, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, morally gray, twisted college romance filled with secrets, violence, and impossible love. Perfect for fans of Penelope Douglas, LJ Shen, Shantel Tessier, and Sierra Simone.

My Review:
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
January 13, 2026 can't come fast enough because this book is the BOMB! I started reading it and had to put it down and I was upset because once you start reading about Carrson and Laurel you will not be able to put it down.
Laurel is in college and taking care of her father. She works as a pizza delivery girl and when she is sent to deliver to Ashford House on campus she just wants to get the pizza delivered and get the heck out of there because she has heard so many stories about this Sorority that she rather just deliver the pizza and get on with her next delivery. But once she is there she is knocking and ringing the door bell but no one is answering so she goes around the back where she hears voices and what she walks in on is crazy.
This is where the story starts to take off and Laurel is thrust into a world she in unfamiliar with. Plus to top it off she will have to navigate through a world she knows nothing about.
I want to Thank Net-galley for allowing me to read an ARC copy of this book. It was well worth it and September can't come fast enough for book two. I need it like I need air to breathe.
