Bailey Hayes moved across the country ten years ago after a tragic accident left her motherless. Distraught, confused and just sad, Bailey opted to leave the only life she has ever known to attend college at NYU. Determined to not experience the loss of a loved one again, Bailey keeps her one friend that she made as a freshmen in college. And that’s it. She dated during her college years but she never let anything really stick. Not trusting herself enough to give her heart and not get hurt she was satisfied with the life she led. That is until she met the handsome, confident and successful Hollister Harrison.
Bailey was swept off her feet instantly with his charm and charisma. Six short months of dating, she finds herself moving in with him. The minute she had her bags unpacked, the fun loving romantic she fell hard for was starting to dwindle away as he became unnecessarily possessive and borderline abusive. Bailey insists on making her relationship work in fear of repeating her past and making a haste decision by leaving too soon. On a weekend when Hollister is out of town, she meets a guy. A beautiful charming guy whom she feels an obvious attraction for, but also a unique connection with. The beautiful charming guy is none other than her running partner’s brother. Bailey finds herself in an oddly nice predicament.
The beautiful charming guy is none other than her running partner’s brother. Talon McAllister has chosen to dedicate himself to his family’s business his entire adult life. He adores his parents and his sister and hockey. Not leaving much time for anything else he has been single for years. Meeting Bailey Hayes changed his outlook. He wants her. He will do whatever he has to do to get her on the same page.
Finding out she lives with her boyfriend deters him from his mission of getting her to be his. But when she calls and asks to tag along on his vacation with his sister, he can’t help but get excited. When he picks her up and sees her bruised and battered face he figures “game over” he is going to show her how she deserves to be treated. By the end of their first day together alone, Bailey propositions Talon with a brief relationship without boundaries and no lines to cross. He’s in… all in.
Will this brief encounter without boundaries relinquish her twisted sense of loyalty to Hollister or will she walk away from her greatest love for fear of repeating her past?

My Review
5 of 5 Without Boundaries
Without Boundaries is an incredible debut story from C.J. Azevedo. I have to say that when I first looked at the book cover I was intrigued and then I read the blurb and I was determined to get a copy of the book. I normally don't do the stocking thing when it comes to authors and finding out how to get an ARC copy but this book pulled me in and I knew I needed it like I needed air to breathe. I am so glad I received an ARC copy and started reading it straight away because this is one story that will take you on an emotional journey of pain, loss, love and finding one's self.
Bailey has a great life and wouldn't ask for more until one day tragedy strikes her and her family and her mother dies. Without her mother Bailey feels lost and confused so she does the only thing she thinks will help and that is to go away to college and get away from the grief and pain that haunts her everyday. She moves to NYU and starts her college years where she has only one friend and keeps to herself. Yes she has dated but nothing serious because she keeps her heart locked up under lock and key because she never ever wants to experience the pain of loss from a loved one again.
Then Bailey meets the handsome charismatic Hollister Harrison and her life is about to change and take on a direction she thought she would never have. Hol is fun loving and treats Bay with respect and love and he soon wears down the walls she has crafted around her heart. It only takes six months for Bay to fall hard and decide to move in with him. But after she moves in with him the honey moon is over because Hol shows his true side and that is that he is controlling and possessive and at times abusive. Bay can't believe she is going through these things with Hol but she puts up with it because she opened up her heart and she thinks she can change things between her and Hol. She thinks deep down inside there is the guy she fell in love with but Hol is an asshole through and through and he is not going to change for anyone no matter what so he continues to treat her like crap.
Then one day while out running she literally runs into a guy. She is mortified that that has happened but she and the guy start to talk and she finds out it is her running partners brother. He is good looking and funny so she starts a friendship with him. Talon McAllister is taken by this beautiful girl who never ceases to amaze him with her loving and carefree attitude. Bay awakens something in Talon and he decides he is ready to start dating. Talon has spent his life caring for his family and running the family business so when he finds himself thinking about Bay he knows she is special. But then Talon finds out she has a boyfriend with whom she lives with and he decides to step back because he has never been the type of man to infringe on anyone's territory so he decides to remain friends and keep his feelings to himself.
Then Talon and his sister are going on vacation and when Bay calls and asks to go Talon is excited because he wants to spend time with her. But things change when Talon goes to pick Bay up and she comes out battered and bruised because Hol decides she was going to be his punching bag. Right there Talon decides he is going to protect her at all costs. And this is where the story truly develops and changes for everyone. I won't go into detail because this story is truly amazing and the beginning is just a prelude to what is going to happen and how much Bay has to endure before she sees that there is a rainbow at the end of the rain storm. This is a must read and I can't wait to read book two to see what happened to everyone!
Excerpt:
“You left without giving me an explanation as to why you up and left the way you did. What happened?” His voice is deep and seductive with a hint of gruffness to it. My knees are weak. I can’t find my voice, and I’m sure once I open my mouth he’s going to be able to tell how much he is affecting me right now. Deep breath. Deep breath. Breathe Bay. “I just haven’t gone out in so long, it was getting late and I drank my drinks too quickly. I just felt like I needed to go home, so I did.
” “Yeah, that’s what Kali said, but the thing is, I just don’t believe you.” He takes a few more steps towards me and comes around the table so he’s standing inches away from me. My heart is pounding out of my chest. He is now acknowledging the lack of space between us by whispering in a husky tone. “I know I was having a good time with you and I’m fairly certain you were having a good time with me. Am I wrong Bay?” Pretty much everyone calls me Bay, they have my whole life.
But Talon saying it is making my body react in a way it never has before to the nickname. I am caving, I am opening my mouth to tell him he was not wrong at all. That I was having the best time ever with him out there on that dance floor. That I came home and dreamed of him for the last forty eight hours. Night and day thoughts of him consumed me.

“I can’t even explain how much I have missed you Bailey. I knew being friends would have never worked while you were figuring out your life, but I have missed your friendship more than anything.” I kiss the side of her head and she gently rubs my thighs with the tips of her fingers. “I have never met anyone who connects with me the way you do. The way we can talk about anything and make it an interesting topic. The way even holding hands is intimate between us. You are it for me, Bay. I’ll take as much time as you need, go as slow as you want but just know that I’m not going anywhere this time. I’m here, in your life forever. I will be your husband one day Bailey Hayes. Do you understand?”
