OMG this is the beginning of a kick arse series by Laramie. I loved every moment of this story and it was slow and burning and when they got together they were AMAZING!
Ash is a single dad and a fire fighter. He lives his life for his daughter and his job but he is getting lonely and wants to share his life with someone. He knows that someone he wants to spend his time with but whenever he flirts with her she doesn't flirt back.
Then one snowy day changes everything because Ash and his daughter have a disaster in the kitchen and end up at the diner where he flirts with Emma the waitress and she actually flirts back. He is so shocked it takes him a few minutes to get his bearings but once he does he asks Emma on a date and she agrees to go out with him and he is totally blown away by this.
As one date turns into many they will have to decide if they are going to go the long haul or they are just going to remain friends.
