This is my first book I have read by Sonya and it will not be the last. I loved every moment of this book and could not put it down because it captures you and keeps you reading till the end.

327 is running and when she stops she gets herself caught up in some more trouble. I mean trouble she can't get out of. See she is on a mafia farm and they sell woman to the highest bidder. When she sold to Breaker she doesn't really expect much from him. As she is used to the abuse and dark things these men do to her.

Then she gets a surprise when Breaker confides in her because he then tells her she knows to much and she must die. That is when she goes on the run again but this time she is on the run from the butcher and Breaker. Can she survive or will they find her and kill her?

This is a must read dark romance and suspenseful book that will take you on a roller coaster ride.

“You girls want to survive, and you run, but you don’t know where to go. You’ve been conditioned to believe the only place left for you is by the side of your abuser, and I don’t want to offer you a safe haven, I want to re-establish your place in the world. Show you that you matter, and the potential you have is too much of a waste. So if you’re too scared to walk through those doors and ask for help, I’m the one they call to walk through those doors with you.”

This woman gives her love away, without fearing the consequences. 

“You all think you love these men, romanticizing monsters and craving their love. You’re not craving love from them, you’re depriving yourselves of the value of your love.”

“You don’t think these men can change?” I ask, mostly for my own curiosity.

She sees right through me and half-smiles. “Some can, but my concern isn’t to rehabilitate the abusers, it’s to empower the victims.”

“Rehabilitate?” I echo back. 

“Change is a long process, sweetheart. They need to be willing to look inside themselves and see the bad parts. No one likes that step, but if you don’t think what you’re doing is bad, then it’s justifiable. Even if they want to change, it takes time and help. And they have to change because they want to, not for someone else.”

I look away, wondering if that applied to criminals. “Do you think even the worst of the worst can change if they wanted to?”

“It’s not your job to change them,” she warns, as she hands me the chocolate and goes for the fridge to retrieve the milk. 

I remain silent, sprinkling the chocolate into the jars. Addie works in mysterious ways, and I’ve come to love those mysteries, almost as much as I love her. 

“Your job is to love yourself first and then, if you want, find someone who loves you enough to give you the freedom to go.”

My heart stills at that. Confusion muddles my thoughts and Breaker is all I can think about. Breaker let me go.
