⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

***** I received this book from the author to read *****

First I must say that this is the first book I have ever read by Kristi Tailor and it will not be the last. First off I need to finish this series then go on and read her other books.

This romance is one that starts off slow and builds it way up into a strong friendship. Charlotte was engaged to be married when something happened to break up her and her fiance. She is so distraught she leaves her home town and moves to New York where she can start a new life. It is there she meets her boss Nicholas. They become fast friends and hang out with each other. But there is a secret both of them are keeping from one another and that secret is slowly coming out. They both have feelings for one another but try to deny them and keep a platonic relationship at work and at home.

Then one day Charlotte gets a call from her mother letting her know to come home because her father is sick. Nicholas tells Charlotte he will drive her home. When Charlotte gets there she finds her father is okay but her mother wanted her home for the holidays. This is where the story starts to pop off and have you reading like a mad man trying to figure out what is going to happen and why Charlotte hates her family.

This is a must read romance series that will have you on the edge of your seat the whole time waiting to see what happens next.
