I’m called America’s
sweetheart.
They say I have
the voice of an angel.
I almost gave all
that up, thanks to a traumatic experience at the start of my career. Instead of
letting it define me, I chose to rise above. I showed everyone what a woman on
a mission could accomplish, and now I’m living my dream.
After one chance
meeting, my entire world changes. Austin is every woman’s fantasy, and he wants
me. While the attraction is there for me as well, I don’t need any distractions
right now.
Austin Jones
Focused.
Driven.
I’m the man I am
today because I never let the idea of settling down disrupt being the best I
can during my hockey career.
But then Reese
floats into my life and everything changes, and now all I want to do is pin her
against the boards.
They say
opposites attract. You can’t get more opposite than Country Music’s hottest
female singer and a hockey player from Canada. With competing travel schedules,
our instant attraction appears to be doomed from the start. Can it really be
love? Or is it just a hot ice-melting fling?

Against The Boards is another amazing and yes I keep saying it with every book but this series is simply amazing. The way Samantha writes has me reading till late in the night till I finish the book because I just have to know what happens in the end and I am never disappointed.
Reese and Austin are opposites and they attract. They have this chemistry between them that is undeniable and the two of them are hot for each other. So you are probably thinking what is the problem...... well Reese is a Famous Country Singer and Austin is a famous Hockey Player. How in the hell can that work out because of their schedules and the time they are apart but these two are committed to each other and they make it work. When they can't see each other they talk on the phone by facetime and other ways and when they are together the two of them can'y keep their hands off of each other.
Long distance is not a problem in this relationship and they show others that long distance can work you just have to put the work in and mean it. If you want it you will move heaven and earth to be with that special someone.

I have to say that this is an amazing second chance romance. It was swoon worthy and had me gushing because Scott really loved Becca and Becca really loved Scott. They were first loves and true loves but insecurities get in the way.
Scott and Becca are a couple who are meant for each other until Becca starts to get doubts about Scott when he makes it big as a Hockey player. She breaks things off with him and becomes an ER nurse and goes about life with her friends as if she is happy.
That is until one day Scott can't take it anymore and he pursues her and lets her know that he wants her and always has. Scott is not taking no for an answer this time and the love that unfolds between them is absolutely breath taking.
This is a must read story and beginning to this series and I will be reading them all!

Scoring the Player is the second book in the Indianapolis Eagles series and boy oh boy is it a great read!
We get to meet Brian who is the defensive hockey player who is described as a man whore and womanizer who does what he wants when he wants. This isn't true but Brian doesn't care because he is happy with his life the way it is. That is until the team takes a vacation to Alaska and he meets the gorgeous woman Kinley. Only thing is that Brian knows that he has a bad reputation and he knows Kinley is a good girl so he is not sure she will go for a one night stand and to be honest he doesn't want a one night stand with her.
Kinley is a very loving and adoring friend who has it all except the one thing she wants and that is true love. Then she meets Brian and the chemistry between them is off the hook and she has to decide whether or not she is going to take a leap of faith and give him a try or will she just walk away and keep her life that she has.

Playing for Keeps is another amazing story in the Indianapolis Eagles series. This one was a funny read for me because it is about friends with benefits and we all know that that usually does not end well so I was expecting their to be some angst and everything in between. But what I got was the total opposite and I loved every minute of it.
Richard and Madison have been friends with benefits for seven years. Richard plays hockey and Madison is a sports agent. They decide to be friends with benefits because of their careers and the time they spend away from each other. Then Richard decides he is going to be retiring soon and he wants to settle down and start a family and he knows who he wants he is just not so sure she will be willing to up the anty and be his wife and start a family.
Madison is secretly in love with Richard and always has been but she knows that they are friends with benefits and nothing more. Then her best friends tells her to get out there and start dating so she can find someone to settle down with. Once Madison starts to date and Richard finds out he decides to tell her how he really feels and asks her to be his girl and settle down with him.
But will Madison believe him and give him that chance or will they remain friends with benefits?

Protecting her heart is another amazing story in the Indianapolis Eagles series and I have to say that this one Samantha Lind brought her A game because she really showed how you can have a second chance of love after divorce. This is so important because women think that after divorce there is nothing else because they are so hurt but no Samantha shows us that yes love can come when you least expect it.
Laura and Mark make an amazing couple. Laura has been hurt and she is now divorced but when she meets Mark she sees that not all men are bad and she decides to give him a chance. Mark is determined to show Laura that not all men are bad and that he will be everything she needs and wants. He will take care of her and love her they way she wants and needs to be.
This is another amazing read in this series and I need more! I love these hardcore hockey players on the ice but lovers in the bedroom!
Samantha Lind is a contemporary romance author. Having spent the first 27 years of her life in Alaska, she now calls Iowa home where she lives with her husband and two sons. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, watching hockey, and listening to country music.
